Re: Condor 2.0? honesty please

What is Grand Prix Mode? Anyone??? Grand Prix sailplane racing. http://www.sgp.aero/ It would be neat if there were tools for users to host grand prix races in addition to regular types of tasking. If I'm wrong about how Condor works in this regard and that it's completely up to hosts to organize t...

It's like other VR experiences, it's 6DOF (means 6 degrees of freedom). I added dx dy dz and roll head liberty axis comparing to Initial Condor liberty axis (was 2DOF).

Hope it will be more enthusiasts,

Re: Oculus Rift

Approx 700km, it's not very close for a demo... To have an idea, Stéréoscopic view and 6DOF headset movement are working. What oculus do you have exactly? For now, my software is only working with the dk2. I do not have a CV1. I hesitate to buy and port the code for a cv1 or a Microsoft VR headset ...

I shall stop this speculation. Beta testing with the Condor Beta team started this week.

Progress is good.. please dont ask when it will be done, because that depends on what bugs are found.

Re: Multi Monitor Support

I thought this pertained to Condor2 since it was split out of that thread, which will be DX11 so would have no problem pushing the pixels and I'm sure will have fov options suitable for the range of displays commonly used. You're probably familiar with widescreen gaming forum, but there's a bunch of...

Re: Multi Monitor Support

Assuming there's no native solutions, anyone that is sufficiently bothered by this issue can use 3rd party warping solutions like people use for curved screen projector setups. There is a limit to what you can do after rendering. If you look at my triple screen screenshot, if you where to warp that...

Re: Condor 2.0 off topic

Its even more impressive once you realize that the entire map you see there was automatically generated. No one laid out streets or trees or houses, outerra engine created that region (in this case, Bern) automatically based on OpenStreetMap data. Only the airport was added by hand. So yes, for V3,...

Re: Use condor during winter to train for summer?

Get a MSFF II from ebay and pick up a set of VKB rocker pedals... kinematics are important and both of those provide adequate approximations of what you really feel in a sailplane. TrackIR or equivalent cobbled together system is also a must. http://store.x-plane.org/assets/images/files/vkb/trudder/...

Re: Oculus Rift

Gen 2 VR will have at least pass through stereoscopic cameras, so even if hand tracking doesn't develop quickly enough (it's already pretty advanced) we will be able to make fully viable 'mixed reality' cockpits using a blend of greenscreen and physical cockpit. Once hand tracking is a thing it's a ...
